Program Overview

Ready to get in the driver’s seat and bring groundbreaking changes to you and your peers?! Every summer we recruit and train the next generation of student leaders who will join our national movement and become advocates for change.

The Next Generation Leaders Fellowship is a summer program designed to train and empower students to be leaders in the survivor justice and anti-campus sexual violence movement, and beyond. Fellows learn the ins and outs of how to engage with policy, advocate for legislation and organize a grassroots movement through hands-on experience bringing policy reform addressing campus sexual violence to their state.

Fellowship Description

The Next Generation Leader Fellows build skills needed to lead grassroots movements. By the end of summer, you will have gained experience in:

  • Writing legislation to be filed in upcoming state legislative sessions that meet the needs of students in your state

  • Building a movement of student supporters and activists to engage in advocacy mobilizations and cultivating leadership skills through hands-on practice

  • Gaining media skills including using social media, earned media, and written media for advocacy and practicing the basics of grant writing and grassroots fundraising

Students who complete the Fellowship will be equipped to lead our movement every step of the way. And, following the fellowship, fellows have the opportunity to stay on as key leaders in their state movement.

Every summer we recruit and train the next generation of student leaders who will join our national movement and become advocates for change.
